During the inauguration ceremony - held on June 10, 2022 at the Ateneu, Cultural Center of the Iluro Foundation - the verdict of the Jury was read with the proclamation of the winner and the five winners of the 9th Prize Torres García-City of Mataró Painting Biennial 2022.

In this call, 335 works have been submitted to the competition. The Jury has selected the forty finalists that make up the exhibition, the winning work and five award-winning works

  • The winner is Joanne Leonie Milne, born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1966 and living in Els Plans de Sió, Lleida for the work Walking in labyrinthine loops , (Acrylic s / canvas in wood, 157x122 cm).

The five winners are (in alphabetical order):
