From 3 to 29 November you can visit the temporary exhibition by Monika Grygier "Structures of Time" at the Can Gruart Cultural Center in Vilablareix.
The exhibition, which has been curated by Alexandra Planas , shows a total of 12 paintings of different sizes made with mixed media on canvas and acrylic on canvas.
According to Grygier "most of my paintings arise directly from encounters with the synthetic universe of cement and asphalt. Industrial estates, technological cores of large, seemingly sterile agglomerations are my source of artistic inspiration" and adds that "my work reflects the influence of the development of life in cities ".
Grygier's work portrays urban spaces in an abstract way and the color gray predominates with different mestizos, the tones of life between cement blocks, roads, machinery, etc ... that are part of a characteristic scenario of our time.
The official opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday 12 November at 19:00.
During the exhibition, a guided tour of the artist has also been scheduled with students from the Madrid public school in the municipality.
Monika Grygier was born in the city of Lodz (Poland) in 1970. She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Opole (Poland) in 1993 under the direction of Stanislaw Bialoglowicz and the University of Cieszyn Slaski (Poland) in 1996.
