The bonart group has presented the activities and projects planned to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The event took place on Thursday, April 10 at 12 noon at the Hotel Arts Barcelona, in front of an invited audience from the Catalan cultural and economic sector. Ricard Planas, general director of the bonart group and editor of the magazine, together with Daniel Fuentes, head of the cultural management company, presented the group's activity schedule and the management company's projects for 2025, the year of bonart's quarter century celebration. A 25-year journey that, like the Hotel Arts, has been an essential meeting point for artistic creation and innovation.

Ricard Planas began the presentation by recalling the first activity of the 25th anniversary: the 6th edition of the Bonart Awards, held in November 2024 at the Espai Fundació “la Caixa” in Girona. The event was repeated on Friday, November 22 at the CaixaForum in Barcelona, culminating an edition that recognized the work of twenty outstanding institutions and professionals who have contributed to the dissemination and promotion of contemporary art and culture in Catalonia and beyond. Among the awardees were prominent figures from Catalan and international culture, such as Montse Oller (vice-president of the Lluís Coromina Isern Foundation and CEO of the Agrienergia group), the elBulli 1846 Museum , Narcís Planas and Anna Maria Camps (honorary presidents of Bonart Cultural), the architects of RCR Arquitectes , the Miguel Marcos Gallery , Tatxo Benet (founder of the Prohibited Museum), the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao , the Government of Andorra and Jaume Plensa , recognized for his contribution to the internationalization of art from Catalonia. The Miramar Explora project was then presented, which began in October 2024 with a day of reflection at the Miramar restaurant in Llançà. The project will continue in September 2025 with an exhibition at the cultural center of the Casa de Cultura de Girona, exploring artistic creation through the gastronomic art of chef Paco Pérez (Miramar Group).

From gastronomy as an artistic expression, it moved on to communication with the Inclassificables project, conceived by bonart and journalist David Escamilla. This project has consisted of two editions of podcasts recorded with artists and creatives in prominent cultural centers in Catalonia. The episodes, broadcast by Catalunya Ràdio, will serve to present the bonart magazine throughout 2025 throughout the territory. Planas announced that several presentations will be made as part of the third season of the podcast. In addition, in September, the book Inclassificables will be presented at the Palau Robert, which will collect the conversations with the participating artists.

Daniel Fuentes continued the presentation with the biomimetic routes project, based on cultural heritage linked to the landscape. This initiative is based on the principle of bio-inspiration, considering nature as a hub of creativity capable of inspiring solutions for humans. The project, already underway, offers itineraries for visitors to discover innovations inspired by the functions of plants and animals. In March, the biomimetic route of the Guinardó Natural Park was inaugurated, the first of its kind in Catalonia, joining that of Sant Jaume de Llierca (La Garrotxa). One of the points of interest of this route is the reference to Antoni Gaudí, who applied biomimetic principles to the Sagrada Família, especially in the design of the interior columns of the temple, inspired by the geometry of a plant.

Another of the outstanding projects is the presentation, on April 25, of the Strategic Heritage Plan for the Automotive Industry in Catalonia , at the headquarters of the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC). With the support of the museum's director, Jaume Perarnau, the guidelines of this plan will be presented, arising from a base document presented in 2020 to the Department of Culture and other agents in the sector. This project is directed by Ricard Planas and coordinated by Daniel Fuentes, with the advice of Josep Narcís Ardariu and David Sánchez (Catalan Federation of Historic Vehicles), Salvador Servià and Jaume Perarnau himself.

Bonart celebrates its 25th anniversary with a wide program of activities and projects Exposició Bonart/Malart: El miracle continua a l'Espai Isern Dalmau de la Fundacio Lluís Coromina.

As part of Bonart's 25th anniversary, the exhibition B onart /Malart: The miracle continues was inaugurated this Thursday, April 10, at the Fundació Lluís Coromina in Barcelona. This exhibition illustrates the evolution of bonart, from a magazine born from a passion for art and culture to becoming a cultural manager involved in projects that connect the plastic and visual arts with society. Over the years, bonart has made graphic design and typography essential elements of its identity, transforming each edition into an exercise in visual experimentation. The exhibition, conceived as a traveling exhibition under the curatorship of Ricard Planas Camps and Nora Barnach, displays original works that have been published by bonart, with authors such as Jaume Plensa, Cesc Abad, Josep Miàs, Francesc Guillamet and Eugenio Ampudia. Beyond the exhibitions and projects, bonart will also hold several presentations of the magazine throughout the year. One of the first will be at the Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia, where the monograph dedicated to the Habitat Museum will be presented, a project that raises a deep reflection on the role of museums today. The bonart magazine will also be presented in Spanish at the Mapfre Foundation in Madrid, an important event to continue expanding the scope and dissemination of the magazine. In addition, bonart will organize, together with the College of Architects of Catalonia (COAC), a conference by Arcadi Pla on the occasion of the millennium of Montserrat, where the architectural reforms that were carried out over 30 years will be discussed.

During the event, other activities that will take place throughout 2025 were announced, such as the presentation of the book Imaginar-se res by Eduard Bigas at the Ona bookstore in Barcelona, as well as the presence of the Catalan and Spanish edition of the magazine at the Artslibris fairs in Lisbon and Barcelona . There will also be a presence during Sant Jordi's Day , with the collaboration of APPEC in Barcelona, at the Espai Eat Art of the Fundació Lluís Coromina in Banyoles and with the Fundació Atrium Artis in Girona.

In June, an exhibition by the artist Eulàlia Grau is scheduled to open in Andorra, curated by bonart. During the same period, a discussion with four former Ministers of Culture of the Generalitat will be held to reflect on the current state and future of culture in Catalonia, and support will be given to the III Journalism and Exile Conference of the Hipòlit Nadal i Mallol Chair of Journalism and Magazines in Catalan, which will take place in Port de la Selva.

Furthermore, the magazine participates in the Berta Casas Grant, promoted jointly with the Atrium Artis Foundation and with the collaboration of the Lluís Coromina Foundation and the GEiEG. This initiative was born with the desire to promote research in the field of Catalan contemporary art.

In the fall, the group will be present at the Swab fair , with images by photographer Yurian Quintanas, and at the Loop fair , where Roc Parés' video art will be shown. They will also continue to collaborate with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona on the Master's Degree in Art and Light , thus reaffirming their commitment to the training and development of new artists.

It is also worth highlighting the participation as a media partner in the first edition of the GLOPS Young Art Biennial , which will take place in Vilafranca del Penedès, with Ricard Planas joining the advisory committee, as well as the curation of the exhibition Visions of Catalonia: Crafting Art, part of the Contemporary Crafts Biennial.

Among other collaborations, the Ricard Camí Visual Arts Biennial is being organized jointly with the Fundació Antigues Caixes Catalanes and the Fundació Lluís Coromina, a project that seeks to stimulate artistic creation with social values and give visibility to the country's artists. At the same time, work is being done on the biography of the artist Xavier Medina Campeny and a collaboration agreement has been established with the company iGuzzini for the magazine's headquarters in Girona.

During the month of November, the book A pèl i ploma , a work by Ricard Planas, will be presented, and as a culmination of the year, a closing ceremony for the 25th anniversary is planned in Barcelona, at which the Bonart Honorary Award will be presented to a person or entity outstanding for their contribution to Catalan culture.
