Second exhibition proposal from Espai 13 of the Miró Foundation with See in Nature, by Paula García-Masedo, which takes center stage after the Josu Bilbao exhibition within the cycle as from here curated by Carolina Jiménez. This time, the viewer will enter a sculptural project where it will invite different reflections and reasonings, but always under the perception of the landscape and its representation.
Paula García-Masedo creates a unique work deployed in a large structure and does so after researching the characteristic landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula's meadows. She explores by combining art, ecology and history to arrive at a conjunction of visual dialogue between stains, textures and space. This second exhibition at Espai 13 of the Miró Foundation, under the title of Seeing in Nature, can be visited until June 29.
Place, home, community and belonging between territory and culture are the backbones of the cycle as from here with four exhibitions, starting with Josu Bilbao, passing through Paula García-Masedo until reaching the shows of Ludovica Carbotta and Marwa Arsanios. Espai 13 will interact between force and matter, with attention to organic-based material cultures.

From compression to crushing in a work that creates a set of elements interrelated by proximity and this gives visual associations to seek a constant exhibition dialogue. The visitor this time will be located in the Lozoya Valley, where for example the Picasso Museum in Buitrago is located, to search for a repetition of colors, shapes and materials that define the landscape. The artist transfers all these elements to his creation, with pigments of materials from the natural place, processes that evoke temporality and a 19th century that contributed to modulating the image of this place in Guadarrama. A work where the research will be broad, the room reinforces reflection and conditions the viewer's journey. The materials are integrated with artisanal techniques while creating and generating a binomial between the rural world and the modern cosmos, to arrive at ephemeral, temporary forms, with a beginning and an end, between presence and disappearance. The natural world has this point of transience and Paula García-Masedo wants to invite us to reconsider the perception of the landscape and its representation.
Seeing in nature submits to the demands of an original time that refers in itself to the great rhythm of nature and García-Masedo builds the compositions from the relationship of materials and external causes, in short, the forces. Sculptural ensembles through serial operations to find specific situations of order and presence.
