The Department of Culture has completed the selection process for the direction of the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) with the appointment of Albert Tulleuda (Manresa, 1968) as the new director, who will replace Jaume Perarnau , who had been in charge until now . Tulleuda's appointment was the result of a public competition supervised by a committee of experts and members of the Department of Culture, and subsequently ratified by the Board of Museums of Catalonia . Tulleuda has obtained the position after passing this selective process, convened with the aim of renewing the leadership of the center, which has its main headquarters in Terrassa and is part of the group of national museums of Catalonia, along with the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC) and the Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia (MAC) .
Tulleuda is an art historian and has a solid track record in the management of museums and cultural entities. With more than two decades of experience in the cultural heritage and tourism sector, he has been at the head of the Manresa Tourism and Fairs Foundation since 2017. In addition, he has previously directed the Igualada Leather Museum and the Cardona Historical Foundation, and has also represented the Manresa City Council in the Industrial Tourism Network of Catalonia.
