The Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation has opened a new edition of the Compondre sabers call to imagine and build sustainable futures, the oldest of its biennial calls. This initiative, which has been running since 2015, has supported more than 50 projects in Spain and France, promoting innovative solutions to the challenges of the present.
The objective of this call is to promote and consolidate projects that contribute to transforming uncertainty into opportunity and concerns into concrete actions for a fairer future. The climate crisis and social inequality put our future at risk, which is why it is essential to generate new proposals that rethink our relationship with the environment, production and consumption models, and forms of community coexistence. The dialogue between art and science plays a key role in this process, as it allows the development of new stories and new ways of inhabiting the world. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, participatory methodologies can be generated that involve communities and promote social transformation.
The sixth edition of the call will be open from March 13 to April 27, 2025 , and is aimed at projects developed in Spain, although they may have international synergies. Support will be given to between 7 and 15 projects , with a total budget of 600,000 euros , offering financing and support for a maximum of three years, from the initial phase to its implementation.

Artists, researchers, communities, universities, schools of art and science, cultural organizations, artist groups and government entities will be able to participate in the call. One of the fundamental criteria for the selection of projects will be the application of participatory methodologies that actively involve nearby communities. The selected projects will have the opportunity to explore new forms of habitability, care and resilience, fostering a culture of social transformation where art and science are articulated as engines of change.
To resolve any doubts about the call, the Foundation is organizing a virtual information meeting on April 1 at 5 p.m. , in which Anneke Raskin and Cristina Sáez , responsible for Citizen Art programs in Spain, will participate. Those interested can register for this session through a form in the link provided by the organization, as well as consult more information about the rules and registration of the call at the following link .
Once again, the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation reaffirms its commitment to finding creative and sustainable solutions to current social and environmental challenges.
