Tomorrow, Sunday, February 23, the second season of the INCLASSIFICABLES podcast, presented by Ricard Planas and David Escamilla , premieres its tenth episode on the 3CAT (Catalunya Ràdio) platform. In this episode, they will talk with the unclassifiable Roc Parés , a research artist committed to emancipatory art, and with Antoni Perna , Director of the Tecla Sala Art Center, we learn about the new projects and objectives.
Roc Parés , as a free radical, seeks an alternative perspective in his creations, fleeing established conventions and exploring unknown territories at the intersection of art, science, technology, society and thought. Inspired by figures such as Joan Brossa, Parés moves in what he calls “dark zones”, spaces that require deep and risky research to generate new forms of expression and open spaces for reflection on our relationship with technology and critical thinking.
On the other hand, in recent years, many creators have found in Hospitalet a welcoming environment that encourages experimentation and artistic innovation. Spaces such as the Tecla Sala Art Centre stand out for their commitment to diversity and creative freedom. Antoni Perna will talk to us about how this centre has become a platform that allows artists to express themselves freely, expand their proposals and claim their voice. Beyond exhibition, the centre promotes creation as an act of expansion and affirmation, where artists not only show their works, but also influence the cultural discourse.
In addition, this episode will discuss issues such as the role of class perspective in access to culture, why many people with fewer resources are left out of the artistic system and how the future of creation should be rethought. Ultimately, an episode that invites us to reflect on the future of art and rethink how we conceive and participate in culture.
