The multifaceted artist María Pilar Viviente Solé (Madrid, 1958) presented her latest work at the Salon Exhibition , organized by the New York gallery Montserrat Contemporary Art , located in the emblematic Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, considered the heart of contemporary art in the city. The exhibition opened on August 1, 2024 and can be visited until January 31, 2025.
The Salon, which was curated by the gallery's directors (Montserrat and Jaume), presented a very eclectic offer with a total of ten artists of different nationalities and distinct artistic styles. The collection gave a global vision of current art, including four works from Viviente's 'Rodetes' series, digital art pieces from 2024. This temporary exhibition of the artist has represented a very important step in her artistic-professional career, consolidating her within the international artistic scene.
Alongside the exhibition, the Montserrat Contemporary Art gallery exceptionally organised an emotional personal reception attended by Viviente. At this event, the artist read her poem entitled MOONSTONE, in Catalan and English, in honour of her mother, the gallery owner and the gallery itself, all named Montserrat.
