The Enlace Art In Progress gallery , located in Serra de Daró, is transformed until March into a space for dialogue between art and nature with the exhibition 'Respect'. Curated by Mariana Costessich and Toni Álvarez de Arana , this exhibition invites us to explore the primordial elements of life -earth, water, air and fire- through diverse materials and forms of expression, but united by a vision committed to the preservation of the planet.
The works of Assumpció Mateu , Claudi Casanovas , Hiroshi Kitamura and Griet Baeyens weave a story where painting, sculpture and tapestry combine to convey a common message: the urgent need to protect our environment and to recognize the interdependence of everything around us. Each artist brings a unique perspective on the four elements, which act not only as protagonists, but also as a common thread of a profound reflection on the shared responsibility towards our world.

Fire is embodied in the paintings of Assumpció Mateu , which depict the scars of a landscape devastated by fire. His works become a metaphor for destruction and, at the same time, regeneration and hope. Air, for its part, is expressed in the wooden sculptures of Hiroshi Kitamura. Earth takes center stage in the works of Claudi Casanovas , who presents large-format ceramic pieces, testimony to the deep bond with the territory and geological memory. Finally, water inspires the creations of Griet Baeyens , who, with the same proposal that represented Belgium at the last Venice Biennale, expanded with new elements, combines textile tradition with a forceful message of warning about the crisis of the oceans.

Although initially the elements seem independent, a deeper reading of the exhibition, pointed out by curators Costessich and Álvarez de Arana, reveals their interconnection: the ceramics also contain fire, the painting evokes water, the tapestry traps the air and the wood of the sculptures cannot be separated from the earth.
With this poetic gaze, 'Respect' encourages us to reflect on what is essential: the intrinsic interdependence between art and nature, as well as the imperative need to rethink our relationship with the planet, of which we are both part and dependent.
