Once again, Bonart has been present at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) , in the ARCE stand, the association of cultural magazines that includes several prominent publications from the literary scene. This fair, held during the first week of December and considered one of the most important in Ibero-America, continues year after year to foster dialogue between culture, art and literature in the Hispanic world.
During the fair, the Diana Zaforteza Narrative Prize was also presented, an award created in memory of Diana Zaforteza (Palma de Mallorca, 1978 – Barcelona, 2022). This prize aims to encourage literary innovation and promote young authors, in memory of Zaforteza, a pioneer of the independent publishing boom at the beginning of the 21st century. She founded the publishing house Alpha Decay in 2004 and later Ediciones Alfabia in 2008, leaving a legacy in the publishing landscape. The presentation, moderated by Ricard Planas , CEO of Bonart, was attended by the Mexican writer Antonio Ortuño , as well as Josep Massot and Dolores Rodés , promoters of the Prize at the beginning of 2024 along with Lluís Coromina, Patrick Hoogvliet, Mario Rotllant and Antonio Zaforteza.

In this edition of the FIL, Spain has been the guest of honor, a fact that has marked the beginning of the countdown to the next edition of the fair, scheduled from November 29 to December 7, 2025. On this occasion, Barcelona will be the one to take over as guest of honor. The symbolic moment of change occurred during the Cambio de Estafeta ceremony, in which Xavier Marcé , Councilor for Culture and Creative Industries of Barcelona, picked up the Spanish baton.

Barcelona's participation in Guadalajara in 2025 will be particularly significant, as it will coincide with the tenth anniversary of its declaration as a Literary City by UNESCO. In addition, the graphic image of this year's fair will be designed for the first time outside of Mexico. The Barcelona studio Bakoom has created a visual proposal that pays homage to the Sant Jordi's Day.
The curatorship of Barcelona's participation in the 2025 FIL will be in charge of the literary journalist Anna Guitart , who has announced that the focus of the exhibition will be the work of Mercè Rodoreda . With the motto 'Vindran les flors', Barcelona will show part of its literary and cultural tradition, through the homage of an essential figure of Catalan letters. At the same time, this participation will continue to consolidate Barcelona as one of the great cultural references.
