The third edition of Les Muses, the Mostra d'Art Contemporani de l'Escala , will once again transform the Empordà municipality on the 6th, 7th and 8th of December . This year, the exhibition presents an ambitious program that includes exhibitions, performances, screenings, panel discussions, dialogues with artists, installations, charity events and activities for all audiences.
After two editions, the organization affirms that this year there is a clear qualitative growth. Organized by the Ajuntament de l'Escala with the coordination of Tania Hirte and the support of the Bòlit Center of Contemporary Art in Girona, this edition has the participation of 35 artists, 3 collectives and 13 exhibition spaces, including public rooms, workshops and private spaces.
The exhibition bets on the connection between established creators and emerging talents, local and international, establishing synergies between the artists and the spaces where they exhibit. This year, artists such as Gino Rubert, Phil Usher, Chloé Tiravy, Karlos Mayet and Jean Pierre Zingre will participate in the Open Studios program, opening their work spaces to the public.

Likewise, emblematic spaces such as the Alfolí de la Sal, the Carolingian Castle, the Anchovy and Salt Museum, the Medusa bar, the CER, the Port 25 Gallery or El Gavià will be the setting for a program that and extensive that aims to reach all audiences.
One of the notable elements of this edition is the effort to create a coherent narrative between the different activities and exhibitions. The organizers emphasize that, for the first time, there is cohesion and effective communication between the proposals and that a common thread has been woven. In addition, it has sought to strengthen its role as a platform for the promotion of contemporary art, favoring collaborations with entities and collectives such as Les Antipodes or 9món .
The inaugural event will take place tomorrow, November 5, at 7pm in the Alfolí de la Sal , with live music by Voodoo Diggers . This event will kick off a new edition of the exhibition, which is consolidating itself as a meeting point between creators and the public, bringing us closer, for a few days, to contemporary art.
