The Espai Eat Art de Banyoles of the Fundació Lluís Coromina Isern will host on Friday 29 November at 7 pm the presentation of the book Banyoles Inèdita, the work of the renowned photographer Tino Soriano (Barcelona, 1955), and which encapsulates forty years of history view of Banyoles Lake, offering an unprecedented view of a natural space that is as iconic as it is changing.
From his early black-and-white snapshots on analog film to the color digital captures he uses today, his career spans international photojournalism and travel photography, with a special focus on documenting the world medical Awarded by prestigious institutions such as UNESCO, WHO and the World Press Photo Foundation , Soriano has left his mark in hospitals around the world, capturing humanity in borderline situations and offering a window to realities that are often not accessible. Currently, his collaboration of more than two decades with National Geographic leads him to explore the practices of traditional medicine around the planet.
Banyoles Inèdita is part of the Fotografs Banyolins collection, published by Rigau Editors , and brings together never-before-seen images from Soriano's personal archive. In addition, the texts of Josep Santaeulàlia, Josep Grabuleda and Josep M. de Llobet complement this visual tour with literary perspectives that seem to dialogue with the power of images.
