If there is a city that knows how to turn November into a month full of art and culture, it is Barcelona. Loop Fair , which celebrates its 22nd edition this year, transforms the Hotel Almanac into a sanctuary dedicated to the moving image. From yesterday until tomorrow, Thursday 21 November, the first three floors of the hotel become small chapels devoted to video art. Unlike traditional art fairs, Loop Fair opts for an innovative format: the rooms on these floors become exhibition spaces adapted to the specific needs of each work. Every detail—from the lighting and sounds to the visual elements—is taken care of down to the millimeter to offer an immersive experience that invites you to explore the universe of each artist.
The participation of local galleries such as Lab 36 , Galeria Senda , ADN and Àngels Barcelona enriches a proposal that also stands out for the presence of highly prestigious international galleries. This dialogue between local and global visions not only highlights Catalan talent, but also consolidates Barcelona as a world leader in video art.
The works exhibited this year address highly complex and topical issues. Memory—both individual and collective—intertwines with a deep exploration of the human body. Ghosts of the past and visions of an uncertain future emerge through poetic and disturbing narratives that invite us to question historical perspectives and reflect on our role in a fragmented world. Some artists explore the consequences of capitalism and the impact of technology, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, which is revealed as an entity that reflects and amplifies our own contradictions.

Loop Fair also has a strong community and collaborative component. Founded in 2003, it was the first fair dedicated exclusively to artist cinema, a medium that has experienced exponential growth since then. Each edition includes a careful selection of works presented by galleries around the world, chosen by an international committee made up of collectors and experts such as Jean-Conrad and Isabelle Lemaître or Haro Cumbusyan . This committee guarantees not only the quality of the pieces, but also a representation of the most innovative trends in video art.
Thus, Loop Fair reaffirms for another year its commitment to the promotion of video art as a tool for reflection and transformation, while at the same time consolidating itself as a model of innovation in the world of art fairs. A unique experience at Hotel Almanac to question, connect and discover new perspectives.
