Next Saturday, November 16, the official inauguration in Italy of the installation created by Edgar Massegú , entitled 'Tribute to the Gambettola carnival', will take place. This piece consists of a street with a giant that will leave the Stazione degli Artisti, at 4 p.m., where Massegú has created the installation, and will continue to Casa Fellini, where it will be inaugurated at 6 p.m. and will be lit the intervention of the facade, as well as the exhibition of drawings (in the interior exhibition hall) made by the artist between the cities of New York and Italy.

There will also be a performance in the circus tent, where Anita di Gambettola will ascend as a Virgin Mary. Massegú's interventions refer to scenes from Fellini's Dolce Vita and his book of dreams. On the one hand, the intervention of the facade is inspired by a recurring dream of Fellini, in which a zeppelin explodes. In addition, Massegú has created the town giant, inspired by Fellini drawings by Anita Ekberg, who is the protagonist of the film La Dolce Vita, and who has already visited the towns of San Romano, Pisa.

It is expected that, in the coming days, the giant will tour the city of Venice, coinciding with the 2024 Venice Biennale . Massegú has advanced that this project will be moved and can be visited from next year at the Bòlit Center of Contemporary Art in Girona , and has had the support of Bòlit itself, the Fellini House, the Comune di Gambettola, Caracó, Ventotto Lugli, Circuiti Dinamici, Arteco, the Stazione degli Artisti and Radart.
