With the creation of a digital portal dedicated to Bonaventura Ansón (1945-2021), the Cultural Association that bears his name opens a window into the world of the artist from Tossa, accessible from https://www.anson. cat This space offers a complete tour of Ansón's work and life, with the aim of preserving and disseminating his legacy and making it accessible to a wider audience.
Painter, engraver and sculptor, Bonaventura Ansón developed his own visual language throughout his career, with intense and narrative scenes that explore the human condition and contemporary dilemmas. After winning the Special Prize of the General Directorate of Fine Arts in the International Prize of Tossa (1968), Ansón established himself with exhibitions in Tossa, Girona, Barcelona and Madrid, and in 1974 he received the Gold Medal of the Province of Girona . His stay in Paris and the learning of marble sculpture in Carrara were decisive for his artistic evolution, which led him to incorporate materials such as wrought iron and to develop series that are now exhibited in public spaces and institutional collections.
The new digital platform allows you to explore his most significant series, such as 'Corcs', a farewell to a millennial culture, and 'Finestres', a call to freedom, as well as 'Empty bottles', where Ansón investigates fragility of human existence. Other series, such as 'Primeres armes', with an intensely expressive message against violence, and 'Skulls, Prisons and Boxes', are visual reflections that delve into the complexities of modern life. His latest series, 'Naufrag', offers a strong look at the loss of values, strongly evoking the ethical drift of today's society.
