Fifteen years after its birth, Rec.0 has transformed Igualada, redefining the city's relationship with its industrial heritage. From the 6th to the 9th of November, the tanneries in the Rec district of Igualada once again become pop-up stores to host more than a hundred brands, creating a unique experience that mixes fashion, gastronomy and urban culture. Beyond the sale of stock, the Rec.0 is a creative intervention in a space that, without this biennial impulse, could fall into oblivion.
The first Rec.0, born in November 2009 in the midst of the economic crisis, was a risky bet: transforming the old tanneries into a temporary fashion showcase to claim the neighborhood as part of the Igualadí heritage. Today, in its 27th edition, the festival has established itself as a key event for lovers of fashion and creativity.
Over the years, the Rec has managed to activate disused spaces, turning tanneries into a center of creation, albeit only for four days. This temporary conversion demonstrates the potential of the neighborhood to become a permanent creative focus. However, the lack of a change in urban planning regulations prevents this transformation from lasting.
The Rec.0 is more than a celebration of fashion; is a platform that promotes local creativity, sustainability and revitalizes the industrial spirit of Igualada. Despite the success, the neighborhood is still waiting for an urban reform that will allow growth beyond the festival. The current regulations limit the Rec to a temporary effervescence and the organization and the participants demand a change that allows the neighborhood to be revitalized throughout the year, turning it into a dynamic center that integrates culture, creativity and business. The Rec.0, thus, is a celebration, but also a call for an urgent change of urban direction.

Diversity of brands and a strong commitment to local and ethical design
In its first edition in 2009, Rec.0 had the participation of recognized brands such as Sita Murt, Antonio Miró and Miriam Ponsa . Today, the diversity of brands has grown considerably, including big international names such as Adidas, Nike and Levi's , as well as local design firms and ethical fashion that are gaining more and more prominence. In the field of footwear and streetwear, the festival offers options such as New Balance, Converse and Puma , while in women's fashion Pepe Jeans, Misako, Toni Pons and Baluard Barcelona stand out. Also present are renowned menswear designers such as Antonio Miró, Macson and Boxley , as well as urban fashion brands such as Kaotiko and Hydroponic .
As every year, one of the big bets is sustainable and local fashion. Local brands such as Josep Abril, Txell Miras, Killing Weekend and Tropic Feel are distinguished by their Km0 collections, made with environmentally friendly materials. In addition, new products such as Vegtus , with 100% sustainable cactus footwear, the Hemper bag firm and Muris Brand 's vegan children's fashion reinforce Rec.0's commitment to responsible fashion. Other innovations, such as Babau Barcelona 's luminous bags, bring a creative touch to the fusion between fashion and sustainability.
The local fabric of Igualada also plays a prominent role in this edition, with brands such as Mus&Bombon and Thinking Mu , who work with Igualada point, a high-quality material. Historic firms such as Punto Blanco, Buff and David Valls remain emblems of the city's textile talent, highlighting the vitality of the sector. In terms of children's fashion, the Petit Rec offers a space designed for families, with brands such as 1+ in the Family, Dear Mini, Micu Micu and the well-known Boboli and Canada House , which prioritize comfort, quality and respect for the environment in their collections. Another outstanding space this year is the Pell del Rec pop-up , where brands and artisans work with leather from the neighborhood's tanneries, offering products with a clear quality identity. Platadepalo and Puntotres are located in the old Adoberia Bella, rehabilitated to host the Leather Cluster Barcelona .
One of the great novelties of this year's edition is Rec2amà , the first pop-up store of second-hand clothes, offering a second life to pieces that are no longer used. In addition, the Mercat d'Intercanvi , in collaboration with Roba Amiga , will allow you to exchange adult clothes on November 8 and 9.
This year, Rec.0 will also host a special exhibition of fashion designs created by students from various Catalan schools such as BAU, ESDI, IED, La Gaspar, ESDAPC Campus Llotja and LCI Barcelona , with proposals focused on sustainability and circularity. In addition, you can enjoy complementary activities such as concerts, DJ sessions, upcycling workshops to give new life to clothes, children's activities and guided tours to discover the neighborhood's industrial heritage.
