The fifteenth multidisciplinary collective exhibition of the Empordaneses project, entitled 'Llar Eterna', was inaugurated last October 4. This has been curated by the artist Pilar Farrés and the archaeologist Anna Maria Puig Griessenberger at the Slaughterhouse exhibition hall in Figueres. The participating artists in this edition are: Assumption Mateu, Dolors Puigdemont Espuña, Ester Baulida, Isabel Banal, Pere Bellès, Jordi Coll, Narcís Costa, Ramon Fort, Jaume Geli and Manel Gràvalos.

As for the researchers, they are: Maria Clua, Joan Frigola, David García Algilaga, Antoni Palomo, Gabriel de Prado Cordero, Anna Maria Puig, Rafael Rosillo, Marta Santos, Eva Subias and Joaquim Tremoleda. In the collaborators section, the theorists who comment on the pairings have been: Glòria Bosch, Pau Minguet, Maria Pérez Ortega, Enric Tubert and Eva Vázquez.

According to Eduard Bech i Vila , director of the Museu de l'Empordà in Figueres, "this exhibition is a journey through the history of those humans who inhabited our space in the past based on some of the objects they used, from the current look and through contemporary artistic practice". He explained that "the archaeological object is the starting point from which the participating artists have begun to work, presenting 11 newly created works that include painting, sculpture, installation or video creation, and that they reinterpret everyday objects recently discovered thanks to archaeological campaigns carried out in different parts of our territory".

For his part, Pilar Farrés i Coll comments on the exhibition that "it must be remembered that in 2016 the Tangences project was born, and following in the footsteps of that first proposal, 'Eternal Home' brings past and present together again, connecting a series of archaeological finds with the creation of ten artists who present us with their corresponding contemporary reinterpretation of the pieces. In short, a creative experiment that explores humanity's relationship with material objects, the nature and finitude of the objects themselves, as well as their resignation as witnesses of customs and evolution".

The other curator of the exhibition, Anna Maria Puig, suggests that visitors feel, experience, express and observe how the artists who contributed their work have done it , since "they have found a way to express and suggest, perhaps a part, perhaps the whole, of that element that they have had to interpret, an object or a heritage element of our past, be it because of territorial or sentimental proximity, when this is done by a history professional".

During the course of the exhibition, a whole series of parallel activities will be carried out, such as guided visits, talks, educational actions and activities in educational centers, etc. All these activities are free and with limited places. The exhibition can be visited until December 1.
