Next Saturday, October 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Piramidón Center for Contemporary Art in Barcelona is organizing a special event on the occasion of the current exhibitions. There will be vermouth, live music and the presence of the artist Martí Sawe , who will offer a guided tour of his individual exhibition 'Locked Items' at 1pm, where he will explain the concepts, influences and creative processes behind his works.
Martí Sawe's work delves into the tensions that characterize his pictorial language, based on the contrast between control and lack of control. His works are a stage where details coexist with improvised strokes, flat colors merge with unforeseen textures and figures are transformed. This confrontation between opposites constitutes the core of his artistic practice.
On the other hand, the group exhibition 2024_n3 can be visited in the Residents Room, a space dedicated to exhibiting a wide selection of works that represent the diversity of styles and techniques of the artists in residence at Piramidón. Among the participants of the collective we find names such as Marco Noris, Yamandú Canosa, Pol Pintó, Pablo Castañeda, Stanislav Falkov, Rosanna Casano, Nicole Vindel, Tono Carbajo, Dedé Lins, Alsino Skowronnek, Iván Franco, Esther Miquel, Antoine Selah , Pere de Ribot and Pepe Castellanos . The works on display cover a wide variety of artistic disciplines, ranging from hyperrealism to abstraction, including photography and sculpture.
Both exhibitions will be open to the public at Piramidón until November 12.
