We had the opportunity to tour the museum's rooms, observe the works and listen to the artists' explanations. Prior to the tour, the director of the MACBA and the head of the collection addressed us with a few words about the work done and the years they have been considering these new additions, telling us that it is the opportunity to see the museum from new perspectives . Thanking all the artists for the work they have done and all those involved in the realization of the project, we prepare to travel through the various rooms.
In this tour it is worth highlighting the intervention of the artist Daniel Andújar and his work, which with the help of two walls of the room, places a whole series of phrases in different languages that have been war cries for the history of the various countries, the artist tells us that a phrase has an important projection for political propaganda.
In addition to highlighting the work of Susy Gómez, with several works on display, the artist points out a specific piece, a structure in the shape of a house, it is a tribute to her grandparents, the memory of the time that is in the 'structure of a home, this made with the ties of those who have lived in the house.
Among the different artists, we highlight the work done by Teresa Solar, with pieces that have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the MACBA now delights us with works that mix the organic and the industrial to represent the underground, interpreted as a watertight camera, favors fragments that give life to his work. At the end of the tour we were able to see that all the works presented are related to the moment we are living and the moment we have lived, both from a gender point of view and from a social point of view, as a set of society At this point, it is worth highlighting the predominance of works made by female artists, which makes it possible to highlight the value that MACBA gives to female artistic production.
