From September 19 to 22 , Barcelona Gallery Weekend celebrates its 10th anniversary . For this very special edition, 27 contemporary and modern art galleries from Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat will participate, which will show the work of more than 30 national and international artists.

Organized by the ArtBarcelona.Galeries association, Barcelona Gallery Weekend is the annual event that opens the artistic season, highlighting the work of art galleries as spaces that generate culture and knowledge, places of experimentation and discovery that allow the connection and meeting between artists, collectors, the public and institutions.

All exhibitions, free and freely accessible, will be opened simultaneously on Thursday 19 September, and will be open throughout the weekend.

The exhibition program of Barcelona Gallery Weekend will be accompanied by a schedule of free activities in the galleries themselves: meetings, talks, presentations, performances and guided visits to get to know first-hand the work of the artists and gallerists and delve into the samples Newly, free guided ARCO GalleryWalks, and the BGW Family program, will be held between Sunday, September 22nd and the following Saturday, September 28th.

In addition, El passeig de... proposes seven itineraries to visit the galleries curated by seven curators from the local context: Xavier Acarín, David Armengol, Cèlia del Diego, Carles Guerra, Sofia Lemos, Valentín Roma and Patricia Sorroche, who write texts -guide to visit the exhibitions. Barcelona Gallery Weekend will once again have the Acquisitions Program, aimed at entities that undertake to incorporate works from the participating galleries into their collections. To date, the participation of the Vila Casas Foundation, the Úniques Foundation, the Sorigué Foundation and MIA Art Collection has been confirmed. The program, which remains open to new collaborations, contributes to dynamizing the art market and the relationship between collecting and galleries, essential agents for the promotion of artists.

The 10th edition of Barcelona Gallery Weekend will have the participation of 27 contemporary and modern art galleries: 23 in Barcelona and 4 in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

By areas: House of Chappaz, in Gràcia; 3 Punts Gallery, ADN Gallery, Artur Ramon Art, Marc Domènech Gallery, Uxval Gochez Gallery, Mayoral, ProjecteSD, RocioSantaCruz, Suburbia Contemporary, Victor Lope Arte Contemporáneo and Zielinsky, in the Eixample; Bombon Projects, Dilalica, FUGA, which is participating for the first time, Pigment Gallery, Prats Nogueras Blanchard, with its new space resulting from the merger between Galeria Joan Prats and NoguerasBlanchard, Senda, Taché Art Gallery and Galeria Valid Foto BCN, which celebrates 15 years of activity and rejoins after several editions without participating, located in Trafalgar and the adjoining streets; Àngels Barcelona and Sala Parés, in Ciutat Vella, and Chiquita Room in Sant Antoni.
