From June 14 to 29 you can visit the temporary exhibitions of Narcís Costa (Girona, 1949) and Emma Alcalá in the Sala Martí i Pol entitled Rere la desferra hi ha, duet exhibitions and D'un cau a un palau by Jaume Geli (Banyoles, 1967) at the Mercè Huerta Art Space of the Valvi Foundation in Girona.

On the other hand, this past June 19, the guided tour of the two exhibitions was carried out by Narcís Costa and Jaume Geli, as well as the catalog of the exhibition "From a Cave to a Palace" was presented. On the one hand, "Ritual pilgrimage" and "creative transit", Jaume Geli would come to tell us with his proposal for Girona (and, in fact, with most of his works), are two ways of reconciling ourselves with the world through the most genuine expression of classicism understood as a journey of propaedeutic connotations (Ulysses and his memory). On the other hand, the exhibition by Narcís Costa and Emma Alcalá reflects on the memory of objects and the creation of new life by artists. Costa recovers banished, forgotten or rejected objects, some of which have been recovered from containers.

The sculptures presented by the sculptor from Girona are made of wood and he gives them a new identity or we could also say a second life. For her part, the photographer Alcalà has confessed to feeling very comfortable with the dialogue that is established with her works and those of Costa, since she believes that "my vision of wooden objects is that they are alive and they have another form, another life, another identity, it would be like a kind of rebirth of the memory of the object."

Visiting hours for the exhibitions are from Monday to Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The foundation is closed on holidays.
