The Tecla Sala Art Center opens on February 1 at 7 p.m. the Otherness exhibition. I, you, us, you, an exhibition project by the students of the 4th year of Graphic Design that, within the framework of the subject of Ephemeral Installations of the ESDAP Serra i Abella and in collaboration with the Tecla Art Center Sala, deals with the concept of identity, taking as a starting point the reflections of several contemporary philosophers and using photographs of students and teachers of the school.
As social beings, our relationships influence the construction of our identity. By being aware of the concepts I, you, we and you, we create complex networks in which differences are an essential fact. Through this proposal, we will discover how diversity and singularity are intertwined, allowing a better understanding of ourselves and others.
In turn, this project takes as reference the following philosophical and anthropological texts: Antropología e identidad, by Percy Escriba; Family alterity, by Emmanuel Levinas; cosmopolitanism Ethics in a world of strangers, by Kwame Anthony Appiah; El cuerpo: puente hacia el otro in Edith Stein, by Ezequiel García Rojo, and La identidad en la mirada and Un nosotros en transformation, by Arturo Andrés Roig.
