The Lluís Coromina Foundation inaugurates the Isern Dalmau Space on January 18 at 7 p.m., La suite del Cabagnon Núm. 2 by the artist Ivan Forcadell, in homage to the famous cottage that the architect Le Corbusier built in 1952 on the Côte d'Azur as a gift for his wife. A minimal square space of 3.66 x 3.66 meters and 2.66 high inspired by the Modulor, made entirely of wood, which reflects on the minimal space that humans need to live, a concern of many architects of the century XX and which connects with the myth of the primitive hut.
The installation revolves around the concept of own space in which to live and, above all, where to create. It is not a question of isolation, but of finding the best conditions so that the artistic creation is sincere and facilitates communication with the viewer. In this way, Ivan Forcadell's personal world is embodied in a mural where several canvases are merged with a collage made from scraps of discarded works that he reuses.
Influenced by the avant-gardes of modern art, Iván Forcadell (Alcanar, 1993) is a multidisciplinary artist who produces from authenticity and expressionism to create a body of work that refers to the authentic being, the roots and the look The artist interweaves accounts of his childhood in the countryside, folklore and irony, approaching these questions with harmony and dispassion; his characteristic fresh and colorful style is a strong position in favor of the ability of art to impress and a call to the constant reinvention of the artist for whom the relationship with his work is the fundamental pillar of his production
Forcadell finds the importance of nature and human relationships, and how these relate to his own life, the basis of his works. For him, honesty in his series is as important as originality, carrying out a constant investigation of new techniques and materials while introducing elements of proximity and found objects into his compositions.
