'Tutankamon' at the Ideal Center for Digital Arts

Barcelona's Ideal Digital Arts Center offers the Tutankamon exhibition, the immersive experience, from September 15. This exhibition, which was the most viewed during the past season throughout the state, with more than 300,000 visitors at the MAD (Matadero, Madrid), arrives at the Ideal in Barcelona to take visitors on a journey back 3,500 years in a unique immersive experience that allows you to feel in the middle of the temples, tombs and secrets of ancient Egypt.

This exhibition allows you to delve into the exciting discovery of the tomb of the Child Pharaoh and discover the importance of its archaeological legacy as never before. The exhibition has two spaces dedicated to virtual reality, an immersive room that will project a film about the most important pharaoh of all time for thirty minutes and a whole tour of rooms where you can visit treasures, sarcophagi and many elements identifiers of this civilization. The contents of the exhibition are as follows: A civilization of 3,000 years (room 1); Inside the treasure chest (room 2); An immersive journey through the secrets of ancient Egypt (room 3); The reflection of the soul (room 4); The road to eternity (room 5); The Valley of the Kings 1922 (room 6); The discovery of KV26 (room 7); Journey to the Underworld (room 8).

Beyond the discovery of the tomb, the exhibition offers visitors a closer look at a millennia-old civilization that captivates with the infinite number of enigmas that cover the deserts and are diluted in the waters of the Nile River. In the immersive, interactive and virtual reality rooms they completely immerse the visitor through a space of more than 2000 m² using the most advanced digital technologies making it the largest digital exhibition on Ancient Egypt.

On the other hand, visitors will be able to enjoy the addition of a new metaverse space that was not included in the exhibition seen at the MAD (Matadero, Madrid). This new space, following the line of creation opened with Dalí Cybernetic, allows visitors to travel back in time to be able to literally walk through La Vall dels Reis in 1922, the year the tomb was discovered.
