Presentation of the book 'Pere Duran. A journalistic look' at Espai Eart

The Lluís Coromina Foundation presents the Pere Duran book. A journalistic look, on December 1, at 7 p.m., at the Eat Art Space in Banyoles. The fifteenth volume of the Fotografs Banyolins collection, promoted by Rigau Editors, takes a tour of the professional career of the Banyol photojournalist with 150 images published in leading newspapers over the last four decades.

The book begins with his first jobs in Banyoles as a correspondent for Diari de Girona, and evolves with his time at Agencia EFE and the newspaper El País, two media that consolidate him as a photojournalist. The last part shows a collection of images of what he calls the Magic Pond, this unique natural space that saw him born as a photographer and that has been training him all these years to help him understand light as the essential part of photography. Currently, and since 2015, Pere Duran works for the newspaper La Vanguardia in the demarcation of Girona, and continues to follow the territory to explain what is happening there.
