On November 1 (All Saints' Day), the 58th edition of the Girona Drawing and Painting Fair was held, organized by Les Voltes Bookstore, origin of the Foundation, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary its constitution. As a novelty this year, the fair has for the first time incorporated the poster made by a professional painter with an international career, Xavier Bartumeus from Manres. According to sources in the organization, the aim is to be able to call a competition open to everyone to make the poster for the year 2024 and the winner will be announced from next spring.
On the other hand, the first issue of Carrers d'Art magazine has been published, which is a magazine about the world of art and culture, focused on the regions of Girona, which is planned to be published in paper format twice a year and which also serves as a catalog of the artists who participate in the Girona Drawing and Painting Fair. This first issue has 36 pages that were distributed on the same day, November 1, in the streets where the Fair was installed, which are: Plaça del Vi, Pujada del Pont de Pedra, La Rambla Llibertat and Plaça Catalunya .
Another novelty of this edition was a special pictorial and musical action that took place in Plaça del Vi by the Japanese artist established in Catalonia Chiho Kijima at 1:30 p.m. and at 5:00 p.m. hours the telecommunications engineer, musician and entrepreneur, Oriol Ribera, performed a musical performance.
