The MUME opens on September 22 at 7 p.m. the exhibition We are not dead by Daniel Despothuis. In this exhibition, Daniel Despothuis proposes to us through art, with an installation, a painting and a video, to share the perception, emotions and vision that these events caused him.
We are not dead invites us to remember, to remember and not to forget those who experienced these terrible misfortunes. They are shocking pieces of art that want to remember painful moments for those who experienced them and allow discovery and reflection for those who are ignorant of this tragic episode of history.
The purpose of his work and his work is not to represent or describe something, but to be "a thing", an object charged with mental energy that the artist incorporates to evoke an emotion in the viewer and create an exchange, a resonance between them; resonance capable of awakening, through a cathartic effect, a buried part of the same personality.
His works exhibited in many countries have received several awards; Through the art he practices, driven by unconscious symbolic processes, Daniel Despothuis manifests an original creation full of freshness and vigor, support for a wonderful journey that takes us beyond ourselves.
The exhibition can be visited until December 31, 2023.
