Porta Ferrada celebrates its sixtieth anniversary

On August 17, the Remember When Festival was held at the Guíxols Arena in Porta Ferrada, which is included in the program of the 61st edition of the Porta Ferrada Festival in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. This festival was attended by artists such as Kate Ryan (Voyage, voyage), Tribute to ABBA (1 hour of the best hits), OBK (Historias de amor), Selena Leo (Yo quiero bailar) and Dream Team Dj's, the creators of Max Mix (Toni Peret, Kike Tejada, Josep Maria Castells). The festival, which lasted for five hours, made all the attendees relive the hits that are sweeping again.
This will be followed by the performances of: God Save The Queen, Fake Gods X Playground (Tech House Festival), El Barrio, Sopa de Cabra and the festival will end with the performance of "Els amics de les Arts * The Tyets" at the Guíxols Arena (ZE Vilartagues). It should be remembered that the Festival was inaugurated last June 30 and will be valid until August 27.

More than 40 shows
It has been calculated that more than 40 shows have been included in the Festival program this year. Performances by Ludovico Einaudi, Wilco, Crystal Fighters, Pink Martini, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Jethro Tull and Jorge Drexler stand out among the 12 international exclusives. A total of 21 Catalan artists are also included, with names such as Núria Graham, Ramon Mirabet, La Pegatina, Mishima, Carles Marigó, Laura Andrés, Blaumut, Kebyart and 31 FAM.

Niña Pastori, Fangoria, Ismael Serrano and the first visit to the Festival del Barri, offering their latest recording works, have been present in a program where there are 25 artists visiting Porta Ferrada for the first time. According to sources from the organization "this is a transversal bet to expand the spectrum of the public and make the festival a meeting place for diverse cultural interests".
It is worth noting the Village areas which are located next to the main stages (Guíxols Arena/Espai Port), and which are the meeting point of Porta Ferrada, with live performances and DJ sessions before and after the shows. Doors open 2 hours before each concert.

As for the spaces, this year the performances of all the Porta Ferrada shows have been held in the following places: in the church of the Monastery of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, in the Espai Port, in the Guíxols Arena (ZE Vilartagues), in the Trachsler garden, in Las Vegas and at the Narcís Masferrer Auditorium Theatre.
