On July 7 at 8:00 p.m. the multidisciplinary artist Rosalia Banet, winner of the last edition of the Gastronomic Art Biennial of Cambrils, inaugurated the temporary exhibition Altars and offerings in the Sala Àgora of the Cambrils City Council.
The exhibition, which can be visited until September 15, is an invitation to reflect on food and its consequences. The exhibited works approach some of the problems of the current food system, such as food loss and waste, the imbalance between hunger and excesses, the low quality of food or the scarcity of natural resources.
Rosalia Banet takes drawing as her starting point, then develops projects that are formalized in different formats, from paintings or sculptures to installations and audiovisual pieces. In recent years, his art has been marked by the search for the development of a sustainable artistic practice.
