Pia Crozet presents "Books/Object" at the Fita Foundation

On June 28 at 7:00 p.m. the renowned sculptor Pia Crozet opens the exhibition Books/Object, which is an exhibition that is part of the course "The Office of Reading" on the second floor of the Fita Foundation (Casa de Culture).

Crozet presents a total of six books that are the result and his contribution to the course he has completed with professors Joaquim Jubert and Anny Escatllar at the Casa de Cultura de Girona. According to the sculptor, "for me, a book-object means to use and be inspired by this book, as well as to provide the artist's personal vision of this book, etc." and he added that "some of the subjects I deal with in these books refer to Walter Benjamin, to a labyrinth, to mechanical reproductions of works of art", etc. and I'd rather visitors just discover more about my books on opening day."

These six pieces have been made with materials such as bronze, wood and methacrylate. The exhibition can be visited for fifteen days during the usual opening hours of the House of Culture in Girona.
