"Body in flight. Membrane and transition" in Es Baluard

Until May 28, you can visit Es Baluard, Body on the Run. Membrane and transition, by Nauzet Mayor (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1980). The exhibition, curated by Martí Manen, is offered as a dialogue between fragmented bodies and also with the bodies of all those people who enter a new space created in the room: with a tensioned membrane a place in process is generated , an ambiguity and an altered moment, a parenthesis that allows proximity and active observation.

As Martí Manen explains, “in the work of Nauzet Mayor there is a connection with desire, a tactile and conceptual connection that is shared with the people who approach his works on display; there is also in his work a short distance that allows the leap towards desire".

The sculpture, and the exhibition, incorporates a performative layer in which incisive gazes can approach the microscopic detail, the raw gesture and the constant fluidity that connects the exhibited objects.
