Bernat Puigdollers (Barcelona, 1991), deputy art director of the Vila Casas Foundation for a year, will exercise the artistic direction of the Vila Casas Foundation from this month of May 2023, after Àlex Susanna announced that he was leaving the position to devote himself more fully to literary creation and curating exhibitions.
Bernat Puigdollers is a historian and art critic. Curator of the Year Ràfols Casamada - Maria Girona. Graduated in Art History from the University of Barcelona. Curator, together with Francesc Fontbona, of the Anglada Camarasa Year (2021). Awarded the Maria Jesús de Sola Scholarship promoted by the Güell Foundation (2021). He has been part of the management team of the Museu de Montserrat (2016-2020), and is a speaker at the Visual Arts Section of the Barcelona University. He has especially developed his research work in the field of Catalan Art from the middle of the 19th century until the post-war period, with the publication of several articles in specialized magazines, with the pronunciation of conferences and participation in conferences, conferences, round tables and colloquia He has curated numerous monographic exhibitions and is the author of several publications, among which the book "El Noucentisme in Barcelona" (2016) and the direction and coordination of the book "Art and post-war culture. Barcelona (1939-1962)” (2018), made together with Aleix Catasús.
