From February 17 to April 1, the temporary exhibition entitled Intercanvis de Mar Guerrero, Stella Rahola Matutes and Laia Ventauyol will be presented at the Dilalica space in Barcelona. This exhibition, which is curated by Pilar Rubí, unfolds various imaginaries around water based on proposals crossed by eco-fiction and the versatility of an essential resource that is increasingly scarce on the planet.
The works of the three artists explore the interrelationship between humans and water, a relationship that can be analyzed both from our dependence on it, but also from the irreversible effects that human actions have caused.
It is a territory that is both real and fictional, where the works point to a dialogue but also to a tension between scientific knowledge and other forms of knowledge. The title of the exhibition refers to this relationship between natural resources and human life. At the entrance to the space we can appreciate the work of Stella Rahola Matutes La Cronometradora 2023, which is an ambivalent piece, offering and totem, fountain and potable at the same time that manifests itself on the floor with a container of water that it has come out of the Dilalica tap and has gone through a succession of filters and treatments to make it drinkable.
