II Exhibition of Contemporary and Emerging Art in Bescanó 2023

On March 26, from 10:00 am, the 2nd Bescanó 2023 Contemporary and Emerging Art Exhibition will be held, which has been organized to coincide with the traditional Bescanó Sausage Fair. This exhibition has been organized by the culture department of the Bescanó City Council with the collaboration of Bonart Cultural, SL of Girona and the company Inknova, SL of Cellera de Ter.

According to sources of the organization, the main objective of this event is to "make known the artistic talent of our territory and at the same time promote innovation and excellence in contemporary artistic practices".

As for the program of activities, the official opening will take place at 10:30 a.m. by the organizer of the exhibition, Alexandra Planas i Camps, and the mayor of Bescanó will be present at the event , Xavier Vinyoles, and the councilor for culture, Carles Genoher. There will also be the presence of the artist Suse Stoisser, who has been in charge of creating the exclusive installation for the Church of Sant Llorenç entitled "Pink Cloud. Unfathomable Mysteries". Then at 11:00 a.m. a guided tour will be given by Stoisser herself to all those attending the event.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., a conference will be held by the renowned chronicler and food critic, Salvador García i Arbós, in the Maria Rosa Cabré Room entitled "Cooking and gastronomy, ingredients for discussion".
In the afternoon, a guided tour of the exhibition and a children's drawing workshop have been scheduled in the Maria Rosa Cabré classrooms for all the boys and girls who want it, as they will be able to choose the painting, sculpture or photography that they like best liked and they can reproduce it with a drawing.
The exhibition will close its doors at 19:00 in the evening.

25 participating artists
A total of 25 artists participate in this year's edition. In the church of Sant Lloreç de Bescanó, you can visit the installation of this year's guest artist, Suse Stoisser, as well as the sculptures of Gerard Rocayats and Pia Crozet.
As for the Rosa Maria Cabré classrooms, they will be divided into two sections: contemporary art and emerging art.
In the contemporary art section the participating artists are: Edgar Massegú, Monika Grygier, Arwon Welles, Nobuko Kihira, Joan Mateu, David León, Pep Camps, Carles Torrent Pagès, Judà Múñoz, Duvan López, Salvador Sabater and Leo Alejo.
As for the emerging section, the participants are: Elena Camacho, Josep Burset, Albert Tarrés, Alfons Gil, Mohammed er Rabehy, Narcis Bosch, Anna Cebrià, Josep Estarriola, Jaume Llunell from the Paco Morgado School in Salt and Rebeca Díaz from the School of Fine Arts in Salt.
