The Contemporary Art Center Piramidon has inaugurated, on March 18, at the Castle of Benedormiens the exhibition Under the same sky with works by its most outstanding artists, a selection of twenty-three made by the curator, Gisela Chillida. The pieces, signed by Aldo Urbano, Ana Monsó, Gino Rubert, Jordi Cano, Paloma Navares, Pere de Ribot, Tom Carr or Yamandú Canosa, are part of Piramidó's own collection, with the exception of a specially made sculpture by Stella Rahola for this sample of the Costa Brava.
As Chillida explains, "In this exhibition, we present a selection of works by some of the artists who have hosted the workshops of the Piramidón, Contemporary Art Center, a hybrid space between creation factory and art gallery that fuses the area of artistic production with the dissemination, exhibition and sale of work in the city of Barcelona.A total of twenty-three artists from very diverse disciplines, trajectories and chronologies both emerging and renowned who have created Under the same sky […] With the title, we want to underline these synergies and complicities that occur in the day-to-day life of the center thanks to the social relationships and common environments, between the artists, with the Piramidón team or with all the curious and curious people who come to the center to enjoy art. If the walls of this great colossus overlooking the Mediterranean could talk, they would tell us hundreds of stories shared in the sky. Projects, social gatherings, exhibitions, some vermouths Saturdays and paellas c it's tuesday Throughout contemporary history, transversal artistic communities like Piramidón are the ones that have allowed artistic production to express its potential."
This collective exhibition, which can be visited until next May 1, is the first of the year at Benedormiens Castle and the second of the annual plastic arts cycle in this Empordà municipality after the one starring Aramis Justiz in Ponds Park
