On February 23, the official presentation of the 1st Ezequiel Torroella Art Biennial took place by Palamós City Council at the Blanquerna Cultural Center-Bookstore in Madrid, located at Calle d'Alcalà, number 44.
This event was attended by the Minister of Culture, Natàlia Garriga, and the Government delegate in Madrid, Ester Capella, who also attended the Center to inaugurate the temporary work by Isidre Manils entitled "or a just image, but just an image
The general director of the Vila Casas Foundation, Joan Torras, the curator of the exhibition, Natàlia Chocarro and the artist Isidre Manils, who gave a guided tour to those attending the event, also took part.
For her part, one of the representatives of Palamós City Council, Maria Puig (Councillor for Culture), explained that this Biennale is aimed at young artists up to thirty-five years old with a prize of 5,000 euros, plus the corresponding promotion, catalog and temporary exhibition of the prize winner.
According to Puig, "the call will be open until March 20, 2023 and all candidacies must be presented only with the extensive CV" and he added that "on behalf of the Palamosí council we hope that many candidates can sign up and candidates, since from the area of culture we will do a lot of dissemination and a lot of promotion of this first edition of the Art Biennale which makes us so excited to have managed to start".
