The Vila Casas Foundation announces its 2023 Photography Prize. In this call, artists over the age of 18 can participate with an unpublished photograph or, in the case of a series, with a composition of a maximum of three images. The works must be original and cannot have been exhibited publicly before. Participation in this award implies full acceptance of these rules and compliance with the jury's decision. The subject will be free and for the viewing and the possible selection of the works by the jury, the participating people can register from January 9 to 31. Among the photographs received, the jury will make a selection, which will be exhibited in the temporary exhibition room of the Palau Solterra Museum between April 29 and June 18, 2023, and of which will edit a catalog. Finally, the jury will award the first and second prizes among the finalist works.
The two works, awarded €6,000 and €3,000, will be exhibited in the corresponding museum.
The winner of the first prize will hold an individual exhibition at the Can Framis Museum (Barcelona), within a maximum period of one year from the date of awarding the prize. The jury for this edition will be made up of: Sophie Köhler, Laura Terré, Rafael Tous, Antoni Vila Casas, Antonio Sagnier, Àlex Susanna and Natàlia Chocarro
