"Memories" at the Ecomuseum Farinera in Castelló d'Empúries

From December 2, 2022 to April 30, 2023, you can visit the temporary exhibition entitled Memories at the Ecomuseu Farinera in Castelló d'Empúries. The exhibition has been organized by Pilar Farrés, Manel Puig, Ecomuseu Farinera and Castelló d'Empúries City Council.

This exhibition shows fourteen personal stories that all took place around the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) in Castelló d'Empúries. We want to make known that part of the war that is more civil and not so linked to the regime, and the military tactics, because "we believe that the small personal stories will help us to know, from another perspective, what it meant, the armed conflict". It is an exercise by the curators Pilar Farrés and Manel Puig in which multiple subjective memories come together, showing how the imagination and the collective memory are a living entity and in constant transformation. It should be remembered that this exhibition could be seen at the MUME.

Visiting hours to the exhibition are from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00 and on Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 14:00.
