Patrizia Lohan presents her new exhibition Distributions and Divisions | on October 29 Between Black and White at Galeria Antoni Pinyol, an exhibition that features newly produced work.
Despite being sculpture, due to its material and three-dimensionality, his work moves in a fine line between this discipline and painting, combining the two techniques to create a kind of deception, a trompe l'œil of light that enables color reflectivity and shadow projection. His work is certainly minimalist, and he takes advantage of the purity of the material and the forms to give prominence to the light element, both intangible and ignored and, at the same time, omnipresent and necessary, making the sensations that are transmitted through these works penetrate the viewer's retina and translate into emotions, moods that the artist tries to convey.
This exhibition is made up of works from 2019, a year after winning the 26th Telax Prize and exhibiting for the first time at the Antoni Pinyol Gallery. His work has evolved and experimented towards new aesthetics, distinguished mainly by the use and importance of the color black in his compositions. A color that adds weight and presence to the pieces and also serves to create another type of visual games.
The exhibition can be visited until November 30, 2022.
