"Stays" by Rafa Forteza at the Carles Taché Gallery

On September 22 at 7:30 p.m., the Carles Taché Gallery in Barcelona presented the new temporary exhibition by Rafa Forteza (Palma 1955) entitled Estancias. For this new exhibition, the Mallorcan artist has created large and medium format paintings accompanied by three sculptures where he mixes different types of materials. All the works have been carried out this 2022.

In Estancias, Forteza wanted to pay tribute and collaborate with his brother, the prestigious dermatologist Francisco Javier Forteza, who with Rostros adds numerous drawings in an interesting dialogue.

With this, Forteza holds its first exhibition in the Mexico Street space. Previously, more than two decades ago, the artist held an exhibition in the space owned by the gallery on Calle Juan Sebastián Bach. For this new exhibition, the Mallorcan artist has created large and medium format paintings accompanied by three sculptures where he mixes different materials. All the works are completed this year 2022.

Rafa Forteza studied architecture and graduated in Fine Arts in Barcelona. In 1982 he held his first exhibition at the iconic 4 Gats de Barcelona. Forteza has also received numerous national and international awards and his work is part of the best national and international collections and museums. He is very common at international fairs and is also recognized for his extensive work in the world of graphic arts. He currently lives in Alaró, Mallorca.

This exhibition can be visited until the beginning of November 2022 from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
