On the 4th and 5th of November, the Barcelona International Art Fair, FIABCN 2022 will be held again at the Barcelona Maritime Museum with a very careful selection of contemporary artworks by more than 100 established and emerging international artists from nearly 35 countries.
FIABCN is considered a reference in the European circuit of contemporary art, as it offers a unique opportunity to appreciate and discover the world art scene in a global way. Styles, techniques, concepts and media originated in different countries of the world, such as South Korea, Japan, Iran, China, Senegal, Jordan, Madagascar, United States, Thailand, Australia, and many more.
Since its creation in 2011, its aim has been to highlight Barcelona's global credentials in the art world, offering artists from all over the world a platform to showcase their work and develop their careers.
Sources of the organization have explained that "this edition, the Committee of Curators are members of an art community of great global importance that sets the high standard of the fair, which ensures that the collector can buy with the trust that is investing in the best emerging talent" and added that "what also makes this fair special is the possibility for visitors to have a tête à tête with the artists, being able to meet the artist in person and acquire their works directly at the best price, since FIABCN does not charge any commission”.
This year's edition will feature prominent artists such as the winner of the PIAB 2021 awards, Albert Bonet; winner of the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation in Canada and the Brederlo von Sengbusch Art Prize, Sandra Strele; and the winner of the Halabala Award (Slovak National Gallery) Ute Deutz, among others.
