Mas Miró continues this autumn with the events of the Centenary of "La Masia" with a cycle of free conferences around the figure of Miró that will start on September 24th, and also foresees sessions on the 1st, 8th and 15th October The aim of these conferences is to approach Mas Miró, the stage of the cycle, and the importance it had for the artist in a different and reflective way.
The cycle of conferences will begin on September 24 at 6 pm with the artist Marta Ricart and the workshop-performance In Situ. Inside the creative process of Joan Miró, where attendees will be invited to explore the complex, deep and fascinating relationship that Joan Miró maintained with some spaces in his creative process.
The series will continue on October 1st with a second session that includes a wine tasting and a conversation between the journalist specialized in the world of wine Ruth Troyano and the director of Mas Miró Elena Juncosa Vecchierini, who will follow the cry of the earth in Miró's work.
On October 8, it will be the turn of the writer Àlex Fernández de Castro, who will explain the peculiar and long friendship between the Catalan artist and the American writer Ernest Hemingway, with "La Masia" as the focus.
To conclude the cycle, the architect Miquel del Pozo, collaborator of the "La Ventana" program of the SER chain, will invite you to see the picture of "La Masia" at its time in the history of art, but also to look at this work today, a hundred years later, to ask ourselves where Miró wanted to go.

This cycle is part of the Mas Miró Foundation's program of activities to commemorate the centenary of the painting "La Masia". A program in collaboration with the Mont-roig del Camp City Council which, with the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Tarragona and the Mont-roig del Camp Camping Association, highlights the importance of this space for the artist
