"Before the words. Temporary refuge" in Es Baluard

Mal Pelo in dialogue with Imma Prieto, director of the Es Baluard centre, curators of the exhibition Before the words. Temporary shelter , configured as an immersive device for the group's more than thirty years of experience. As Prieto explains, the project "allows the human being to meet himself, it is a journey full of corners to have moments of intimacy; it is of an overwhelming poetics, sometimes violent".

The exhibition is the result of a work process carried out in several phases. A first, at his creation center L'animal a l'esquena , and a second that took place in the museum. The project's potential lies in the visualization of bodies in complete, free and wild exposure.

The Mal Pelo collective, co-directed by Pep Ramis and María Muñoz, is a stage creation group characterized by shared authorship that has received, among others, the 2002 National Dance Award from the Generalitat of Catalonia for its show L' animal on his back , the 2009 National Dance Award in recognition of his career and the 2017 City of Barcelona award. In addition, since its foundation in 1989, John Berger, Erri de Luca have passed through the collective , Ángels Margarit, Andrés Corchero, Niño de Elche, Raffaella Giordano, Eduard Fernández, Enric Ases or Piero Steiner.
