From July to September 4, Figueres City Council and the Gala-Dalí Foundation have intensified Dalí's presence in the city with the Dali de Figueres project, the result of collaboration between the two institutions.
As a novelty of this second one, several novelties have been programmed, such as the extension of the night projections of Dalí's work. In addition to the four unique buildings that were already illuminated last year ̶Torre Galatea, Ajuntament de Figueres, Casino Menestral and Escorxador ̶ are added Plaça de les Patates, the façade of the Library and Plaça Catalunya.
During July and August, 10 2-meter-tall figures with portraits of the Empordà genius will be installed at different stages of life, located in important spaces in the trajectory of the artist from Figueres.
In addition to these actions that will take place every day, many parallel actions will be held such as guided tours in four languages: Dalí Route , wine tourism routes, visit to St. Peter's Church and theatrical visit on the infant Dalí.
As part of the Dalí in Figueres , in the surroundings of the Museum, on Thursday night, Dalí nocturne has been programmed: surreal films . With the collaboration of the Dioptria film club, 3 films by Salvador Dalí will be screened: Un chien andalou from 1929 and L'âge d'or from 1930, both directed by Luis Buñuel and written by Buñuel and Salvador Dalí himself, and Impressions of Upper Mongolia-Tribute to Raymond Roussel 1975, directed by José Montes-Baquer. They will take place on August 4, 11 and 18.
