The Design Museum of Barcelona has presented this Wednesday at noon the new temporary exhibition entitled Transgressions. Contemporary ceramics from the Design Museum , an own production that shows the new collection of contemporary ceramics that complements the existing one that currently has more than a thousand objects and two hundred and thirty different authors. New additions to the collection include authors such as Madola , María Oriza , Xavier Toubes , Angel Garraza , Sophie Aguilera , Maria Bofill , Yukiko Kitahara i Roger Coll .
The exhibition, curated by Isabel Fernández del Moral , curator of ceramics at the Design Museum, “exhibits the revival of contemporary crafts, an area in which products of great artistic quality are being generated in our country, and puts the 'emphasis on a creative moment of contrasts, critique i reflection on current issues, where transgressions materials , techniques and concepts become evident. At the same time, the versatility of the material allows us to approach the applications of ceramics in the world of design and architecture .
The presentation was given by Pilar Vélez, director of the Design Museum, and Isabel Fernández del Moral, curator of the exhibition, who offered a guided tour of the exhibition.
