Sitges celebrates the second edition of Endimaris, an LGTBQ + film show
bonart sitges - 24/05/22

As a result of the collaboration between the Cineclub Sitges and Colors Sitges Link associations, the exhibition was created with the aim of giving visibility to the reality of the LGTBIQ + community. Cinema and the stories that tell the reality of the collective are the starting point for a space for critical debate with today's society. The forums after the screenings, the tastings and previous meetings and the parallel activities make up a rich program that takes place from 20 to 28 May in the surroundings of the Casino Prado Suburense that hosts this second edition of the Endimaris.

Endimari is a Garraf idiom, a word used to name an object or person that is annoying or has become obsolete. Endimaris celebrates the desire to change and transform the conception of LGTBIQ + people from a pejorative perspective to a new open and positive aspect. Sitges has historically been a town at the forefront of modern art, theater and cinema, accompanying and caring for different people, respecting their differences and valuing dissent as a space for enrichment.

The Endimaris 2022 honorary award has been given to Bob Pop for his work on the series entitled Maricón perdido, directed by Alejandro Marín. Maricón perdido is an original TNT series produced by El Terrat (The Mediapro Studio) for WarnerMedia that is available on video on demand on TNT Now and HBO Max.

This year there will be many titles of new films and documentaries that can be enjoyed during the exhibition, which also has a day dedicated to the creation of the Endimaris Scrpt Lab. ENDIMARIS SCRIPT LAB. A project that focuses on the process of writing an audiovisual work, the script, with special emphasis on local stories with potential for internationalization, which relocate the fiction of the capital and seek the authenticity of the stories, as has been the recent case of Alcarràs, an authentic story, shot in Lleida, which has won the prestigious Golden Bear at the Berlinale, Libertad, shot on the Costa Brava and which arrived in Cannes, "Summer 1993", shot in Sant Feliu de Pallerols and that relaunched eco-tourism in the region, or Isaac, shot in Sant Pere de Ribes, which has been released in the United States or United Kingdom, and has meant a considerable increase in filming in this town of Garraf.

You can buy tickets on the Entrapolis platform or on the Prado de Sitges cinema page. Some of the most requested actors and directors of the moment have confirmed their attendance. Sitges and the Endimaris offer you a different look full of colors and nuances, are you close?
