Next Friday, 22 April, at 7.30 pm, the new temporary exhibition by the ceramist Eva López entitled Without Distance in the “La Peixera” Space of the Terracotta Museum of La Bisbal d'Empordà will be inaugurated.
This exhibition, which is part of the series of temporary exhibitions that the Association of Ceramists of La Bisbal would curate in the “La Peixera” space, is made up of a set of recently created works that, as their title, are born during these last two years of pandemic and social distancing.
One of the areas of interest that can be seen in López's artistic work is "serialization", which is a common practice in the workshop that she tries to transform into a more creative formula, always with the lathe as the main tool. For this series, he has modeled a series of serial pieces with the same shape, dimensions and characteristics
then he modified them, making them evolve into unique ones. In this exhibition you can see how the pieces come together and find new shapes arising from the sum of the parts without respecting safety distances.
