The 2022 Emerging Art Capsule will be officially inaugurated next Sunday, April 3, at 12:30 pm in the Rosa Maria Cabré classrooms in Bescanó.
The main objective of this group exhibition is to encourage and support the professionalization of young creators in the province of Girona and throughout Catalonia. The event coincides with the celebration of the traditional fair of the Embotit de Bescanó 2022 and it is for this reason that Jaume Fàbrega i Colom has been invited to give a lecture on art and gastronomy at 1 p.m. and will be entitled "The art of food and food as art: 5,000 years of history." The conference will consist of two parts, the first The Art of Food, will be discussed from the performances of hunting, honey harvesting, etc. from Prehistory to Barceló. While the second part, Food as Art, will refer to Tirant lo Blanc, the Chinese basket, the Russian buffet and the tea and Japanese art ceremony. At the end of the talk, attendees will have a round of prayers and questions at Jaume Fàbrega.
The aim of the organization is to attract professionals and lovers of the art world, as well as to bring the usual public who normally visit the Bescanó Sausage Fair and to be able to give them the opportunity to enjoy this exhibition. collective and at the same time be able to participate in the conference on art and gastronomy, which gives added value to this event.
The art capsule has been organized by Bescanó City Council together with curators Xavier Santos (Artisticus) and Alexandra Planas (cultural manager), who have been responsible for recruiting and selecting the artists participating in this edition.
