INSPAI opens a new call for the Young Photographers of Catalonia Award

INSPAI, Center de la Imatge, attached to the Department of Culture, New Technologies, Sports and Education of the Diputació de Girona, has announced the twentieth edition of the Premi Joves Fotògraf (e) s de Catalunya, which aims to promote and disseminate the photographic work of young photographers in the territorial area of Catalonia.

This commitment to photographic creation is one of the objectives of INSPAI, together with the interest, on the one hand, to bring the population closer to photography from all angles, so that they can enjoy the trends of current photographic production. and, on the other hand, to offer the town councils a cultural proposal through traveling exhibitions.

The Provincial Council will choose a photographic project from all those who present it, which will provide the necessary resources for it to be exhibited, for a catalog to be published and for the exhibition to be itinerant. The selected project will be awarded € 1,250 gross.

The call is open to individuals between the ages of eighteen and thirty, born and / or registered in a municipality of Catalonia. Participation is free and no person who has been awarded in previous editions can apply. Projects carried out more than three years old or presented in previous editions will also not be accepted.

Each participant may submit a single photographic project, which may not have been awarded in any other prize, contest, contest or similar call, nor selected or nominated when this selection or nomination has resulted or may result in a public exhibition, an edition in a catalog or public communication by any means.

The documentation may be submitted from March 1 to April 8, 2022, both included, online, through the online channels provided on the website of the Diputació de Girona, or in person at the General Registry of the Diputació de Girona.
