"22 windows" opens the new stage of M | A | C

The MAC Mataró opens on January 22nd 22 windows, an exhibition that opens the new stage of the center in the La Presó building (Elies Rogent, 1863). This is a group exhibition with the participation of artists Antoni Abad, Daniel G. Andújar, Xavier Arenós, Irene Bou, Azahara Cerezo, Adrià Goula, Joana Moll, Tanit Plana, Mireia C. Saladrigues and Marc Salicrú.

Deliberately from diverse backgrounds, from extended generations and with absolutely personal work approaches, all 10 have taken care of their exhibition proposal after having visited the building to feel the indissoluble architectural weight that permeates these walls.

It is through these 22 openings that the inside and the outside can be found. These 22 windows and the piece of sky line semi-panopticon drawn like a roof in the open air, inaccessible.

Ten works that reflect on communication and consumption, war and republic, ritual and community, memory and freedom, technology and virtual reality, internet and national security, weightlessness and volatility.

The exhibition can be visited until March 20, 2022.
